Before an aircraft can take off, pilots and cabin crew learn everything they need to know to ensure a safe and relaxed flight.
At the new Lufthansa Aviation Training Center in Zurich Opfikon – the most important flight training centre in Switzerland, which was designed by a team from Stücheli Architekten AG and implemented by S+B Baumanagement – dade design was able to implement two special project areas.

The eye-catcher right at the entrance to the building, which opened in 2019, is the white concrete reception desk, which indicates the aviation destination Zurich as ZRH.

The cladding for the kitchenette was also realised by our experts at the concrete factory in Altstätten.

The materiality – white cement was used in the project – reflects the lightness of flying on the one hand and the grip of concrete on the other.
