Kitchen island à la Andreas Caminada

Cooking and living at the heart of the living space
The Swiss culinary magician Andreas Caminada is a pioneer in his profession. He stands out among other things responsible for the innovative idea of “fine dining sharing”, which can be experienced in his “IGNIV” restaurants in Zurich, St. Moritz and Bad Ragaz. And connoisseurs are well aware of the historic Schloss Schauenstein, which is home to Caminada’s star-awarded restaurant, as well as some guest rooms. Our Swiss concrete manufactory dade design is of course not nearly as well-known as Andreas Caminada – but the innovative strength seems to be equally pronounced. So it is not surprising that a joint project – initiated and developed by Orea Kitchens – unites us both.
The concrete cooking island is the dream of many
It is not only used for cooking, it is also a communication centre in the living space, a meeting place for family and friends, where people laugh, party, argue and reconcile. A space where life takes place.
The exclusive kitchen concept of Caminada is now being continued with a kitchen island made of concrete and brass for design-savvy kitchen lovers and offers apartment / house owners the opportunity to bring a piece of star flair into their own home. The island’s design is second to none and was developed by Orea AG together with Andreas Caminada.
The elliptical shape of the island, which tapers towards the foot, makes it appear organically soft. With this well-shaped design, the bush hammered dade ROC concrete with the brass worktop from Morath AG Design inspires all kinds of kitchen plans.
Between the idea and the finished product there was an intensive exchange with the product designers from OREA and our loving and intensive manual work, because bush hammered dade ROC concrete requires a lot of experience and sweat.
The eye catcher can be seen at Caminada at Schloss Schauenstein. Viewing, sales advice and project implementation are handled by Orea AG: David Spielhofer, david.spielhofer@orea-kuechen.ch, +41 43 204 01 40.
